STAFFORDSHIRES STUDENTS UNION
COMMITTEE ELECTIONS

It has come to the time of the year again when the Staffordshire Students Union will ask for each club and society that it funds to elect a new committee for the 2008-2009 academic year. As your president, I urge every member of the Stallions to take this seriously as we were close to losing this club for one year as no one put their name forward for the 2007-2008 committee.

Every position is open for re-election, and we need a minimum of three positions to be filled for the club to stay be able to compete in BUAFL next season, as stated in the Students Union's constitution. The positions that are available are: President, Secretary, Treasurer, Gameday, Media, Kit Manager and Social secretary, and it is important that we fulfil the positions of Treasurer and Kit Manager as both Richard Walker and Graham Roberts are completing their courses this year.

Elections will be taking place on Tuesday, February 19th, 2008 between 7pm and 9pm, and will dominate that Chalkboard classroom session. If you want to apply to be on the committee, please have a manifesto which includes the position you are running for (can only be one) and a reason why you think that you will be ideal for the position that you are running for by Tuesday, February 5th 2008.
